Materials:
G 4.00 mm o
4 Medium weight yarn
Button
Tapestry needle
Scissors
Abbreviations:
ch - Chain
dc - double crochet
sl st - slip stitch
Helpful Tips
To avoid the gap at the beginning of the row I use Alternate Turning Stitch instead of Ch3.
- The top is worked in Row.
The chain at the beginning of each round does count as a stitch.
Foundation chain 31
Row 1 : (ch 3 counts as 1 dc) [1 dc in the next stitch, 2 dc in the next stitch] - repeat [] , 1 dc in the last stitch = 46 dc
Row 2 : Turn, (ch 3 counts as 1 dc) 1 dc in the next 8 stitches, skip 8 dc, 1 dc in the next 14 stitches, skip 8 dc, 1 dc in the next 8 stitches = 30 dc
Row 3 - 6 : Turn, ch 3 (counts as 1 dc) 1 dc in each of 30 dc across = 30 dc
Row 7 : For finishing touch sl st each stitches all around ch 1 on each corner before sl st, On Row 1 and Row 4 ch 5 for button loops continue sl st.
Fasten off, weave in ends, Add some cute little buttons put fabric glue to secure the knot and the top is done!
