Helpful Tips
To avoid the gap at the beginning of the row I use Alternate Turning Stitch instead of Ch3
- The skirt is worked in Row then join and worked in round .
The chain at the beginning of each round does count as a stitch.
Ch 27
Row 1: ch 2 (counts as 1 sc), sc in each of the 27 chains across. = 27 sc
Row 2: Turn, [ch 3 (counts as 1 dc) 1 dc in each of the next 2 sc, 2 dc in the next sc] - repeat [] = 36 dc
Row 3: Turn, ch 3 (counts as 1 dc), 1 dc in each of the next 11 dc, 2 dc in the next dc, 1 dc in each of the next 12 dc, 2 dc in the next dc, 1 dc in each of the next 11 dc. = 38 dc
Join with sl st and working in round
Row 4: ch 3 (counts as 1 dc), 1 dc in each of 38 dc across, sl st to the top of ch 3 = 38 dc
Row 5: ch 4 (counts as 1 tr), 3 tr in the next dc, [1 tr in the next dc, 3 tr in the next dc] - repeat, sl st to the top of ch 4 = 76 tr
Fasten off, weave in ends.
Skirt waistband
On the top left of opening skirt
ch 3 (counts as 1 dc), 1 dc in each of the 27 chains across. = 27 dc
Ch 5 (Botton hole) and sc across the opening skirt (3 sc tog in the middle of opening) fasten off leaving a long tail for sew in the button.
Little bow
ch 4, 2 dc into the first ch, ch3, sl st in the first ch, ch 3, 2 dc into the first ch, ch 3,
sl st in the 1st ch.
To add some embellishment slip-stitch along the skirt on row 3 and 4, sew in the little bow, tight the knot on the wrong side put fabric glue to secure the knot.
