Abbreviations

US Terminology used

ch – chain

sc - single crochet

dc – double crochet

tr - triple crochet

sl st - slip stitch

rep – repeat

x – times (the number of times to repeat a set of instructions)

(  ) – Repeat the instructions between the brackets the number of times (x) indicated.

Let's get started!

Foundation Row: Chain 37 (leave a long tail).

Row 1: sc into the second chain from hook.  And each ch across

Row 2: (ch 3, 3 dc together into next stitch ch 3, sl st into the next stitch rep x2)

(ch 3, 2 dc together in each of the next 2 sts, ch 3 sl st into the next stitch rep x2 )

(ch 3, 2 tr together in each of the next 3 stitches, ch 3 sl st into the next stitch rep x4)

Fasten off, leaving a long tail 

To finish the rose roll it into a rosette shape. Take the end with the smallest petals and begin roll Line up the original chain stitches from your foundation row to create the base of the flower. making sure to keep the base of the flower flat.

check the front to make sure that your petals are arranged nicely. 

secure the rose by working on the tail back and forth through the base of the flower. Fasten off.
