The Queen Hat

General Materials I used :

  • Craft felt

  • Tacky glue, fabric glue

  • Thread

  • Needle

  • Beads

  • Ribbon

  • Brooch pin




Cut out all the pieces.



Instruction


Making the hat

1. Pin and stitch the brim to the hat side.

 



2. Trim seam allowance then fold the seam toward the top of the hat and stitch.

 



3. Overlap 1/4" of the short ends, Pin and stitch.


 

4. Pin and stitch the hat side to the crown.

 



5. Trim seam allowance and fold the seam toward the bottom of the hat ;stitch.


 


Making the flower embellishment

1. Cut a couple of leaves, then cut felt into a spiral, Left a circle at the center for the base of

the flower.


 

2. Trim the outer edge into scallop curve.


 

3. Roll the flower, Hand stitch or use glue to secure the shape of the flower.

 



4. Add beads in the middle of the flower.


 

5. Arrange the leaves and flowers on the piece of felt secure it with glue.

 


6. Attach the brooch pin.

 

7. Wrap the ribbon around the hat and stitch the flowers embellishment on top.


 


Done!
