Materials:

- Crochet hook size 2.5mm, 3.5mm, 4mm

- 4 and 3 Medium weight yarn


Abbreviations:

ree

ch - Chain

dc - double crochet

dc blo - double back loop only

YO - yarn over

sl st - slip stitch

sk - skip

st(s) - stitch(es)

Rep - repeat



Notes:

-This pattern is (US Terms)

-The alternate ch3  at the beginning of each row does count as 1 dc stitch.

-If you want the pouch to be wider or longer simply added more chains at the foundation chain then added more round until the pouch reach the size you want it!

Color A : Foundation ch 16

Round 1 : Begin the first dc On the last chain make Alternate ch3, dc in next 14 chains, 6 dc in the  last ch, Working across the opposite side: dc in next 14 chains, 5 dc in the same place at the alternate ch3.  Join with sl st to the top of starting alternate ch3 *Counting the alternate ch3 as 1 dc (40 sts)

Round 2 : Alternate ch3, dc blo in each dc across,  Join with sl st to top of starting alternate ch3  (40 sts)

Round 3 : Alternate ch3, dc in each dc across,  Join with sl st to top of starting alternate ch3  (40 sts)

Round 4 - 13 : Repeat Round 3

Fasten off, weave in ends.




Color B, Change to bigger crochet hook

Round 14 : sc in each dc across,  Join with sl st to top of starting sc (40 sts)

Round 15 : [ch 3, skip one st, sl st to next st,] Rep [] Join with sl st, Fasten off, weave in ends.




Drawstring  (Make 2)

With flower : Make Magic ring, [ch3, 1dc, ch3, sl st] Rep [] 4 more times to make 5 petals.  close the magic ring, Continue crocheting make 80 chain, Fasten off.

With puff stitch (Pom Pom) : ch 4,  YO, insert hook in the 4th ch from the hook, [YO and pull up a loop, insert hook into same stitch] 4 more times. YO and pull through all loops on hook. Ch 3, sl st in the same st, Continue crocheting make 80 chain, Fasten off.


Finishing the bag

Pass the drawstring into the bag at side edges in round 12, going over and under 2 dc each time.

Weave in ends.

repeat the same with the second drawstring starting from the opposite side.

And there you have it! Three drawstring bags, one pattern, different hook sizes. As you can see, the hook size really affects the final product's size and texture.
