Crochet Ruffle Cutie Top

I created this cute crochet top for fun years ago during a car ride with my family. I didn't write the pattern down even though I plan to make the tutorial and share it with you guys but of cause, I forgot all about it 😅 Then In early December I got a message from Karen😊 She found me on Pinterest, and then Facebook, She was looking these cute tops pattern which I don't have then but I do now! So here shoutout to Karen, Thank you for reminding me and making this pattern possible and I hope you enjoy the pattern ❤️

Video Tutorial



Materials:

- Crochet hook size 4 mm/ 5 mm/ 2.5 mm

- 4 Medium-weight yarn

- Button

- Tapestry needle

- Scissors


Abbreviations & Stitches Used :

ch - Chain

sc - single crochet

dc - double crochet

tr - triple crochet

sl st - slip stitch

sk - skip

st(s) - stitch(es)


Notes:

-This pattern is (US Terms)

-The Top is worked flat, back and forth in rows.

-The chain at the beginning of each row does count as dc.

-To avoid the gap at the beginning of the row I use Alternate Turning Stitch instead of Ch3.





Crochet hook size G 4 mm Foundation Ch 48

Row 1 : ch 2 (doesn't counts as st) sc in every chain, Turn (48 sc)



Row 2 : (ch 3 counts as 1 dc) [1 dc next 3 sts + 2 dc next st] Rep [] Turn (60 dc)




Row 3-5 : (ch 3 counts as 1 dc) dc in every sts, Turn (60 dc)





Row 6 : (ch 3 counts as 1 dc) dc next 8 sts, skip 12 sts, dc next 20 sts,

skip 12 sts, dc next 8 sts. Turn (36 dc)




Row 7 : (ch 3 counts as 1 dc) dc in every sts, Turn (36 dc)



Row 8 : (ch 4 counts as 1 tr) 3 tr in every sts, Turn (108 tr)



Row 9 : (ch 4 counts as 1 tr) 1 tr in every sts, Turn (108 tr)




Continue crocheting and working on the left opening

ch 1, sc 22 sts along the edge.



Turn, ch 1, and slst along the neckline.



Continue crocheting, Making Buttonholes on the right opening

ch 3, sk 1 dc space, sc 3 sts, ch 3, sk 1 dc space, sc 3 sts, ch 3, sc until the end.


Optional

Continue crochet edging Picot stitch, Woking on the bottom

[ch 3, slst to the 1st ch, slst 2 sts] Rep []



Fasten off weave in ends. Sew in the buttons and use fabric glue to

secure the knots.



Decorated stitch/ Crochet hook size H 5 mm

Use contrast color slip stitch To create the decorative line.



Crochet small 4 petals flower/Crochet hook size 2.5 mm

Magic ring ch 2, 1 dc, ch2, slst in the ring Repeat 3 more times to make 4 petals.

Use french knot embroidery stitch to attach the flower to the Top.





Done!
