Porch Goose Sewing Series EP. 5 Easy Felt Yoke Collar + FREE Pattern

Let’s make an adorable Felt Yoke Collar for your porch goose!
This little collar is such a quick way to dress up your goose. You can wear it by itself as a simple accessory or layer it over a goose dress to give the outfit a completely different look.
And the best part? We’re using the same FREE pattern as the Reversible Tie Collar, but making it with felt!
Because felt doesn’t fray, there’s no lining, no turning, and no need to finish the raw edges. Add a little lace or decorative trim around the bottom, sew on some Velcro, and you’re done!

FREE Reversible Tie Collar pattern
You can make this collar as simple or decorative as you'd like. Try different colors of felt and add lace, ric-rac, pom-pom trim, ribbon, or other embellishments. 💕
Print and cut out the pattern pieces

🪿Sewing Instructions
Step 1 – Cut the Felt Collar

Remember, because felt doesn't fray, you don't need to turn or finish the outer edges.
That's what makes this version so quick and easy!
Step 2 – Add the Lace

You can use matching thread for a subtle look or contrasting thread for a little extra detail.

You can leave the felt edge plain or try another decorative trim instead. 🧵✨
Step 3 – Add the Velcro

Position one piece on each side so the collar overlaps and closes neatly around your goose's neck.
And that's it!💕
Your Felt Yoke Collar is finished!

🪿 Two Cute Ways to Wear It
One of my favorite things about this little collar is how much it can change your porch goose's look.
🎀 Wear It by Itself
You don't need a dress at all!
Just fasten the collar around your goose's neck for a quick and simple accessory.
Add lace for a sweet look, or keep the felt plain for an even faster project.

👗 Wear It Over a Dress
It adds a cute detail around the neckline and can make a dress you've already made look like a completely new outfit.

💕 Have Fun With the Colors!
This is one of those little projects that's perfect for using up pieces of felt and trim from your sewing stash.
Make one for Halloween in purple, orange, or black, use red or green for Christmas, pretty pastels for spring, or choose colors to coordinate with the goose dresses you've already made.
Since it's so quick to sew, you can easily make several collars and switch them out with the seasons. 🪿💕✂️
I hope you enjoy this easy little porch goose project!
