Looking for a fun and adorable felt food project? Today we’re making a felt broccoli! This beginner-friendly sewing project is perfect for pretend play kitchens, play markets, Montessori learning, and handmade gifts.

This soft felt broccoli is quick to sew and uses only a few basic supplies. Whether you’re building a complete felt vegetable collection or just getting started, this project is a wonderful addition.

🧵 Materials


• Green felt  (Buy Here)

• Light Green felt (BUY HERE)

• Embroidery floss/thread

• Sewing machine

• Hand-sewing needle

• Scissors

• Pins or clips (optional)

Felt Broccoli Instructions


Step 1 – Make Broccoli A (Inner piece)


Fold Broccoli according to the pattern.

Stitch along the long edge to form a tube.

Make small snips apart along fold edge, being careful not to cut through the stitching.

Step 2 – Roll the inner part


Roll the inner broccoli tight.

Step 3 – Make Broccoli B (Outer piece)


Fold Broccoli according to the pattern.

Stitch the long edge to make another tube.

Leaving the long tail of thread for sewing the bottom part.

Fold Broccoli in half and stitch the short edge to close bottom half of the ring.

Sew a  whip stitch.

Turn it inside out.

Step 4 – Assemble


Insert Broccoli A inside Broccoli B.

Secure it with few stitches.

Sew the circular bottom piece to close the opening.
